Business Systems Analyst (Projects office)- newly created role

Ideally suited to someone in the Tyrone/Fermanagh region-Office based.

The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of IT projects and changes, including managing the relationship between the IT  department, the business and supporting stakeholders in best practice and lean business operation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and model business processes, information flows and data structures using various analysis tools and techniques into business requirements.

  • Identify business systems/applications that resolve business issues through the elimination of waste and non-value add activities.

  • Establish and communicate project goals and manage project team activities including analysis, Design, Execute and controlling the closing of the project to deliver expected business benefit.

  • Manage the relationship between IT and the business ensuring IT activities are aligned with business priorities.

  • Manage the scope, schedule, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk and procurement activities for the project

  • Ensure appropriate governance processes are in place to monitor and control the project and consistently apply agreed project management standards and methodologies to projects.

  • Represent IT in meetings ensuring any IT related business dependencies are understood and managed effectively

  • Analyze and optimize the inter-relationships between business processes, procedures, and systems. IT


 

Does this sound like you?:

  • significant experience in a business analytics or project management role within an IT department.

  • Experience of gathering business requirements, system selection, and implementing application/business systems

  • Proven experience working with external customers and internal stakeholders to establish and document business requirements.

  • A willingness to take a hands-on approach

 


 

Desirable criteria:

Some of the following would be advantageous:

  • BSc in Information Technology, Business Studies or related subject.

  • Systems integration/ ERP/ business systems experience.

  • Lean/ Project Management Prince2/PMP qualification.

  • Experience of planning, gaining buy-in, rolling out new software, or managing system and process change.

  • Experience of customer facing role

  • Knowledge of the apparel/manufacturing industry.
